Toyota recalls 308,000 RAV4 and Highlander vehicles

More Toyota profession. Toyota Motor Sales USA has announced its intention to voluntarily recall includes some security model years 2007-2008 RAV4 and Highlander and Highlander 2008, a number of vehicles sold in the U.S. military to replace the sensor pad.

Roll-sensing curtain airbags, vehicle course, there are two sensors in the airbag sensor assembly that is designed to detect the vehicle roll angle. If one of these sensors failures, airbag light (malfunction indicator) light and a system for the detection of the role will be suspended, but remains available in case of airbag collision side. If both sensors almost simultaneously after the first monitoring system, airbags, belt tensioners and curtain air bags could inadvertently activate.

Car owners who participate receive a temporary written notice to remind them of the first class post in May 2011. Toyota will also have this information on its website. Toyota dealers will replace the roll sensor readout circuit, without cost to the customer.
